1. Something To Believe In

"Something To Believe In" is the fifth track to be released off my project "666", which involves releasing 6 different songs under 6 different genres on the 6th of each month starting from July 2023. The lyrics discuss that kind of overwhelming emotion when you feel trapped in your daily routine and, somehow, you just can't help but keep craving for something new and fantasize about running away. The chorus says "all I need is me and something to believe in", and I think it's a really important line that represents how we should pay more attention to what we want and where our motivation comes from. 

Country music was the main influence for this song when it comes to the instrumental track, which is a genre I simply love, and I added some elements from pop and even EDM that make it a short yet enjoyable song you could listen to many times in a row without getting tired of it. One of my favorite instruments is the banjo, so I'm really happy with the way I made it stand out during the chorus with a melody that sounds sweet yet somehow nostalgic.
