This track features a really traditional Japanese atmosphere, not only using Japanese instruments such as koto, shamisen and shakuhachi, but also because the vocal melodies were also influenced by Japanese music. That's why, after I had created the song, I felt like singing it in English could take away some of that traditional feel, and I decided to write the lyrics in Japanese. That's how this song's title went from simply "moonbeam" to actually "月光 (moonbeam)", where the main title is a Japanese word, and I didn't include any English in the lyrics either so it'd be a homage as genuine as possible to Japanese culture. The final section of the song is really powerful and unexpected, adding a modern touch through a strong drum and bass influenced beat and the use of autotune effects while keeping the Japanese atmosphere.
