1. Meteor Shower

"Meteor Shower" is the final track to be released off my project "666", which involves releasing 6 different songs under 6 different genres on the 6th of each month starting from July 2023. The lyrics talk about dealing with severe anxiety, as well as other conditions caused by it such as insomnia, irregular heartbeat and even suicidal thoughts. Writing this song felt so personal in a way that each line kept digging deeper withing myself to find new emotions I didn't even know about me, but at the same time it felt incredibly healing too, as I'm the kind of person who never really lets any feelings show.

I mixed many elements on this song, eventually settling with folk pop as its main genre since some of those influences come from Chinese folk instruments, as well as many percussion sounds. The song's structure depicts what a panic attack often feels like, with a soft start that leads to a powerful final chorus, and right after it the music becomes soft again, representing that moment of being calm and somehow spaced out after the anxiety dies down.
